The Luka Doncic-Anthony Davis trade between the Lakers and Mavericks shocked the basketball world, but that’s not the only trade that has been done in the NBA recently, as the Kings and Spurs also made a blockbuster deal in a bid to revamp their rosters.
The Kings acquired Zach LaVine, Sidy Sissoko, and several draft picks, while the Spurs got De’Aaron Fox and Jordan McLaughlin. The Bulls, the other team in the multi-team trade, acquired Tre Jones, Zach Collins, Kevin Huerter, and a first-round pick.
Tomorrow, Sacramento and San Antonio will play LaVine and Fox for the first time when they take on Orlando and Atlanta. On the other hand, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Washington, Miami, Memphis, Chicago, Golden State, New Orleans, and Phoenix will visit Charlotte, Detroit, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Toronto, Minnesota, Utah, Denver, and Oklahoma City, respectively.

San Antonio Spurs @ Atlanta Hawks
The Spurs are currently 12th in the Western Conference with a 21-26 record, so they hope to turn their fortunes around with the arrival of De’Aaron Fox. Fox is a one-time NBA All-Star in his prime, so he’s expected to form a sustainable partnership with Victor Wembanyama.
The arrival of Fox also means that Chris Paul will take a lesser role, although he’ll remain an integral cog for the team since he’ll be tasked with mentoring Fox and Wembanyama.
San Antonio have lost seven of their last nine games, and they’re fresh from a double-digit loss against Memphis last Monday. Wembanyama had 27 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks on 10-for-20 shooting from the field in the losing effort. Stephon Castle had 21 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
The Hawks finally snapped their losing streak with a nail-biting win over the Pistons last Monday. Trae Young notched 34 points, nine assists, and four three-pointers on 9-for-16 shooting from the field and 12-for-14 shooting from the free throw line, including the game-winning fadeaway with 1.6 seconds left.
With Jalen Johnson out for the rest of the season due to a serious shoulder injury, Zaccharie Risacher has seen an uptick in usage rate. The French rookie had 17 points, three rebounds, and two assists on 5-for-9 shooting from the field against Detroit.

Phoenix Suns @ Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder have secured consecutive blowout wins following their surprising loss against the Warriors last Wednesday, and their most recent victory against the Bucks was easily one of their best NBA 2025 results.
Oklahoma City exploited Milwaukee, who played without Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, and Bobby Portis to get revenge in last November’s NBA Cup final. Six Thunder players scored double-digit points, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leading the way as usual with 34 points, three rebounds, and six assists on 15-for-19 shooting from the field. According to the latest NBA 2025 odds, the Canadian international remains a huge favourite to win this season’s MVP trophy.
The Suns fell to ninth in the Western Conference with a 25-24 record after losing back-to-back games against the Blazers. Devin Booker scored 71 points total in those two matches to lead Phoenix, but it wasn’t enough, although he officially became the franchise’s all-time leading scorer.
Phoenix have been linked with a potential trade with Miami to get Jimmy Butler. However, a deal hasn’t come to fruition because the team is reportedly unwilling to part ways with Bradley Beal.
Orlando Magic @ Sacramento Kings

Former Bulls teammates Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan will link up again in Sacramento, and they’ll likely have Malik Monk continue playing point guard, which worked last time out.
DeRozan had 33 points, five rebounds, and seven assists on 14-for-25 shooting from the field, and Monk had 26 points, eight rebounds, and five assists on 10-for-23 shooting from the field to lead the Kings to a narrow victory over the Timberwolves last Monday.
The Magic have suddenly dropped to eighth in the Eastern Conference because they’re on a four-game losing streak. Orlando recently suffered a 104-99 defeat against Golden State last Monday.
Cole Anthony came off the bench and produced 26 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals on 11-for-21 shooting from the field. Franz Wagner had 21 points, three rebounds, five assists, and two steals on 9-for-19 shooting from the field, and Paolo Banchero added 18 points, six rebounds, three assists on 9-for-24 shooting from the field.
Betting tip – Sacramento Kings Asian Handicap -4.50 @ 1.88
